The Ihlara Valley Hot Air Balloon Flight has been operating since 2019, establishing a sunrise balloon experience over one of Turkey's most remarkable geological formations. One balloon lifts per morning at sunrise - a single flight per day, in groups of 20 to 28 passengers, that ensures an intimate and unhurried experience over the valley. Every flight is subject to daily weather approval in accordance with Turkish Civil Aviation Authority standards, ensuring that the flight operates only when conditions meet safety requirements. This single-flight-per-day policy means the skies over Ihlara are never crowded with competing balloons: the experience retains the sense of quiet wonder that the valley itself inspires.
The canyon perspective from a balloon at altitude is genuinely different from any ground-level view. As the balloon rises from the launch field, the full fourteen-kilometre length of the valley becomes visible - a great green river corridor cutting through the orange and grey volcanic terrain.
